Who do we call if our boiler breaks down?

 

First of all, call us. We will try and guide you over the phone. We have a Youtube channel with some videos showing you basic tips to get the boiler running again. If we can cant get it going over the phone we will come and visit you and do some basic checks. Failing that we will call Ideal customer services (01482 498660) We let them know what the boiler is not doing and they will send an engineer out to fix the problem.

Will you charge us for the visit?

 

Yes, our first hour is £70+ VAT.
If you have just had a boiler installed, we will do a free visit in working hours to check over your boiler. We will show you how to do the basics like top the pressure up. We have a great video on Youtube to show you this as well.

Are there any hidden charges with Ideal?

 

No. Your new boiler will have 5-12 years warranty dependant on model. That is parts and labour. From Ideals point of view, as long as the system has been installed properly and you get the boiler serviced every year the warranty is 100% water tight. We have service plans to ensure you don't miss an annual service (See button below)

Who services the new boiler?

 

The new boiler needs to be serviced by a gas safe engineer. We can do that service for you. A standard service is £70+ VAT or £5.99+ VAT a month on our service plus plan. We want to install your boiler and keep coming back year after year to ensure it runs smoothly.

What is included in a service?

 

We clean a few components on the boiler. Do gas and combustion checks. It usually takes around 45-60 minutes to do. This service ensures the boiler is running well. Modern boilers need annual servicing or they break down. With regular care from our team we are so confident that our installations will last well over 12-15 years. We are still to take out our first install from 8 years ago.

Is your work guaranteed?

 

Yes our work is guaranteed for up to 12 months. Parts and labour.

How long does a boiler installation take?

 

Combi or heat only boiler swap can be done in 1 day

Powerflush takes 1 day

A system change from conventional cylinder to combi generally takes 3 straight days. 

 

Once a job is booked in our system we try our utmost to stick with that date. The only time we would change a date is if one of staff is ill. In our diary we have ‘buffer’ days to take up days of absence or if we are over stretched on jobs. We have a show up guarantee for our boiler install bookings.

Who fills out the paperwork?

 

We fill out the benchmark in the back of the manual, this shows the boiler has been installed correctly. We fill out all the warranty details and register the boiler online. We then email you a building compliance certificate and warranty certificate. We have access to these files 24/7 on our Ideal online portal.

What's a building compliance certificate?

 

This is what's known as the Gas safe certificate. It shows the boiler was installed by a gas safe registered company. It's legally binding. You need this certificate in case you sell your property. Again, we have these at hand for you just in case you lose your copy.

What's a warranty certificate?

 

Each boiler we install has a different warranty with it. 5,10 and 12 years. This certificate if your evidence of the boilers warranty. The boiler needs annual servicing for this to be valid.

What makes an Ideal boiler so good?

 

We have been fitting Ideal boilers for 8 years. They are a local company based in Hull. They have over 100 years of history in the heating industry. Their products are reliable and they have brilliant customer service. They install the most boilers in the UK at present. They have never let me down. Been based in Hull Parts are readily available. German boilers parts can sometimes have 7-10 days waiting times.

All our engineers take pride in their work. Our company is built on customer service and making sure the whole experience is a good one. We're not here to make a quick buck, we want to build long lasting relationships with our customers. 
We have office staff to ensure someone is at the end of the phone when you get in contact.
We try our absolute best to get back to every single person that contacts us rather than leaving you hanging.
We are up front and honest. If we don't want to take a job on or if we feel we are too busy to 'squeeze it in' we would rather tell you.

How do you serve your customers better than others?

 

We try our best to return all phone calls, texts, whatsapp messages and emails. We run an on-call service throughout the week until 20:00 and over the weekend. As our company has grown over the past few years so has our scope to serve our customers and be there when things go wrong.
